KTW (German drinking water industry non-metallic parts testing and testing accreditation) represents the German federal health department drinking water system selection and health assessment authority, it is the laboratory of DVGW in Germany. KTW is a compulsory regulatory authority established in 2003.
Suppliers are required to comply with DVGW (German Gas and Water Association) regulation No. W 270 "Transmission of microorganisms on non-metallic materials". This standard primarily protects drinking water from contamination by biological impurities. W 270 is also the implementation specification stipulated by law. The KTW test standard is EN681-1, and the W270 test standard is W270. All drinking water systems and accessories exported to Europe must be certified by KTW. Therefore, if Chinese drinking water systems and accessories want to be exported to European countries, they must pass KTW certification. KTW has obtained the authoritative certification of the World Health Organization (WHO) for drinking water safety certification specifications.
